Well that was the game I was truly hoping to avoid.
Leafs getting run out of the rink by a fast, hungry, aggressive team has been my concern for a long time.
Sure you can beat a team that is large and slow like Dallas, but when a team really wants to put an exclamation point on the game how will our Leafs react?
By all accounts the best Leafs forward last night was Leo Komarov. A guy who takes a lot of grief for his last of offensive flair IS the guy you need to step in a heavy game (and the Playoffs) versus a team like Boston.
One man cannot carry a team in a game like that.
So Leafs win 4 in a row and then get beat on the road.
Is it time for panic? Is it time for changes?
Uncle Lou, this is your team as it is constructed. Are you willing to move out some passengers and bring in some players that want to prove their worth in this market place?
Do you stand pat?
What would Leafs fans do?
I am not concerned, I think Lou Lamoriello has a perfect grasp on this situation but will he find the perfect dance partner?
What happens with this scenario? Do either of these guys get moved?
Mike Babcock asked about reports that Soshnikov and Leivo are unhappy for playing time/requesting trades. Said we’d have to talk to Lou about it. Went on to say Sosh hasn’t been healthy and Leivo hasn’t got opportunity.
