Early Saturday afternoon the Toronto Maple Leafs PR account released this trade information….
Toronto trade: Leafs acquire Kerby Rychel from Columbus for Scott Harrington and a conditional pick. #TMLtalk

The trade was a shock to most fans, and media alike which remains the standard operating procedure for Leafs Management and the Organization.
Rychel, 21 years old, stands in at 6’1″ and weighs just over 215 pounds. The bulk up of the organization continues, especially considering the picks made over the last two days at the NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo (more on that later this evening).
While he is known for his ability to play the physical side of the puck, Kerby Rychel also scored 40 goals in the “Two-Twelve” (2012-13) season while with the Windsor Spitfires.
Toronto gives up Scott Harrington and a conditional 5th rounder in this deal. Harrington, played limited minutes last year due to an injury and did not look to fit into the future plans with the Leafs Organization.
Initial reaction, this is a very solid trade for our Leafers.
