CAPITALS at MAPLE LEAFS
WASHINGTON LEADS 3-2
7:00 pm (CBC)
This evening will be game number 88 for the 2016/2017 Maple Leafs season. Without a doubt it is the most important game as well.Washington has returned to Toronto with intentions of closing out this first round series. The Maple Leafs have other ideas.
There is little more analysis to be done here….coach Babcock has put it out there to the players by stating that in order to get to game seven, they have to earn it first. This is what is will come down to, how bad do the players want to continue their season.
Perhaps Nazem Kadri said it best when stating that Washington is a beautiful city and that he would like to visit again.
As Leafs Nation rose from their Saturday night slumber, postings on social media are starting to flood twitter.
Here are just a few tweets from Leafs Nation twitter-verse earlier today.
“Mitch Marner will have his best game of the series tonight”
Omar White (@OLW93)
“It’s not over leafs nation, the team with the worst chances, just brought the “best” team to the 4th OT of the series, its going to 7″
Julia v. (@Julia_vanH)
“Game day for @MapleLeafs. Proud of our young team & know we’re in for a great night at the ACC. Go Leafs Go! #bringstanleyhome #tmltalk”
John Tory (@JohnTory) Mayor of Toronto
“Good Morning! GAME DAY! I’m so excited for tonight…our Boys are going to stand their ground #GOLEAFS”
“GAME 6 GOES TONIGHT, ITS DO OR DIE FOR THE BOYS IN BLUE! #TMLTalk”
“We will be your nightmare for years to come suck it up Barry!!!!#Leafs”
Really, what more can be said. Soak it in Leafs Nation.
What do you think? Will there be a game seven?
As always, please discuss among yourselves.
