Here we go kids.
The ultimate measuring stick.
Leafs bring their 9-1-0 record in the last 10 games right down to that former hell hole in Pittsburgh. The Penguins are currently 8-1-1 in their last 10 contests.
So who breaks down? What do we expect?
Well after giving up 57 shots in the last game (a massive win) versus Columbus look for Coach Babcock to put the absolute brakes on this high flying Maple Leafs offensive juggernaut. Just a feeling, but do you recall the style we played after these kids started the season with a similar river boat gambling style?
I sure hope I am wrong. Most fans will love a showdown between two elite offensive powers in the NHL. Why not? Sit on the edge of your seat. Trade punches.
Last man standing, wins.
Why do I have a funny feeling that Babcock replaces Marner with Komarov for a bunch of defensive shifts tonite? Guess we are about to find out together…..
By all accounts Frederik Andersen will get the start for the Blue and White. Andersen is now 29-15-0-4 with a 2.66 Goals Against Average and a .922 Save Percentage.
Will the Ginger Wall come up huge again, or will Phillipe find a way to tear it apart like a hot dog at the turn during a warm summer round of golf?
Got the Leafs. 4-3.
