MAPLE LEAFS (8-6-3) at CANADIENS (13-2-1)
7:00 pm (HNIC)
November Rain? More like November Sunshine and Lollipops. After a pretty rough start the Maple Leafs showed poorly in league standings posting only 2 wins, 4 losses, and 3 loser points(2-4-3). Like mentioned before November has been pretty bright with the Budz winning 6 of the last 8. Even more promising to a great future the Leafs have scored 6 goals in each of there last 4 wins, yet suffering a 7-0 loss to LA somewhere in between.
Unfortunately the Leafs must travel down the 401 and into no-mans land to face to evil brood of the NHL, The Montreal Canadiens. Carey Price has been nothing but stellar this season suffering only one loss in 11 games played. The one loss did come in over time so he is technically undefeated in regulation time. Lets hope some of our rookies can light the lamp and possibly chase the fucker out by the time the third period comes around.
Mithch Marner has been great lately posting 6 points in the last 4 games but is due for a bit of cool down with his shooting percentage being roughly 5 points above league average. Just not tonight, light the lamp kid.
William Nylander has been my personal favorite prospect thus far. He seems to skate effortlessly up and down the ice, playing great down low and not shying away from corners. Not showing well in the box score lately, he clearly has what it takes to play, posting 13 points in 17 games playing against some tough competition along the way. Playing with a touted first overall pick as you center will garner you tough opposition done the road. Coach Babcock will be moving him to Kadri’s line during away games stating he believes this will even up line matches.
Can we all “eff off” and stop giving a 19 year old such a tough time as to why he is not scoring. “Matthews is a -4″…. who gives a rats ass, he is 19. The guy has hit more posts lately than a drunk bobcat operator. The goals will come. Fingers are crossed for tonight, a team has already scored 10 on the Habs this season, lets see it happen again, five coming off Matthews stick.
Frank Corrado has decorated the press box nicely, and is not expected to ever see ice again. This is very unfortunate since Matt Hunwick looks like a Blades of Steel player being controlled by 3 year old.
Maybe I am lucky enough to witness Ben Smith running Carey Price and suffering a 20 game suspension so I don’t have to watch him treat the puck like a grenade anymore
Kadri running over Gallagher in open ice would be so nice.
Maybe even some old time hockey line brawls are due.
Either way, lets beat those damn Habs who have no business posting such a great season record thus far, oh wait, PRICE AFFECT PER GM/PLAYED
