The Leafs head to Raleigh tonight to take on the Carolina Hurricanes, and to seek revenge for the 5-2 beating they took the last time these teams met.
This is a game the Leafs should win considering the Canes aren’t even in the playoff picture…. but then again they should have won their previous meeting as well so it counts for little apparently.
The Canes have dropped 4 of their previous 6 games but are coming off a 4-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks. Petr Mrazek, who was in net for that win, will suit up against the Leafs as they continue to try to find some stability between the pipes.
The Leafs on the other hand have dropped 2 in a row for the 4th time this season but have yet to lose 3 in a row. So, basically, if they do it will all be William Nylanders fault because they have yet to win a game with him in the lineup. Well that wouldn’t be good, so lets get your shit together Leafs and do it for Goldilocks!!
Zach Hyman is serving the first game of his incredibly ridiculous two game suspension. The DOPS really dropped the ball on this one in my opinion. There have been far worse hits lately with no punishment and they are labeling Hyman a predator while some other players are allowed to roam free and do whatever they please. Maybe they’re just tired of giving some of these other guys suspensions and wanted to mix it up a little? I don’t know. What I do know is this appears to be a golden opportunity for Connor Brown, who will take Hymans place alongside Tavares and Marner to start the game.
Frederik Andersen starts. I’m predicting a bounce back game from him.

My prediction? 3-2 Leafs in OT.
