After a successful trip to Ohio, the Maple Leafs (2-0-0) return home to face a rested Montreal Canadiens (0-0-1) team for the third game of the season.
Frederik Andersen gets the night off, which means Michael Hutchinson gets the not between the twin red heads for the Leafs.
These are the games we need a capable backup to grab two points. If a victory isn’t attainable it is essential that he puts on a solid show to gather some support and confidence from players and fans alike.
here is the Leafs suggested starting lineup.

Our stars need to perform, and the guys who sat last night need to show they SHOULD be in the lineup bringing extra energy which is perfect for back to back scenarios.
Can Martin Marincin be better than Game #1?
All of this will be a non-existent debate when Travis Dermott returns but until then we need a reliable #6 to support Rasmus Sandin. Speaking of Sandin, I thought he got his eyes opened to the physical side of NHL hockey last night in Columbus.
Can Shore…..nevermind. I am already done with that guy.
Loved Kasperi Kapanen stepping up for Captain John Tavares last night. Wasn’t a drop the flippers type of moment but it was a FUCK OFF that was well timed.

Keep up the solid work Kappy.
Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly both have 4 points in two games to lead the Maple Leafs in production.
Auston Matthews is essentially unstoppable from that one time position on the powerplay. It is a shot that I do not think I can remember ever seeing in the Leafs lineup. Wendel Clark had a great wrister. Rick Vaive a decent clapper. And of course……Al Iafrate from the point.
But can any of you remember something better?

I have the Leafs 4-3. Furiously late game charge to pick up the ‘W’.
Who you got?
