Just one day after announcing the signing of Ian Scott to an ATO, the Toronto Marlies now have Carl Grundstrom back on the team.

Grundstrom, 20 years old, just finished up his season with Frolunda and is making his way across the pond to Toronto.
The native of Umea, Sweden dressed for the Toronto Marlies during the 2016-17 AHL Playoffs last season scoring 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) in 6 games.
Carl is a wide body, does not shy away from contact but needed to work on his defensive positioning.
After his training camp with the parent-club the Toronto Maple Leafs it was evident that it wasn’t a matter of if he would make the NHL it was…..when.
Coach Mike Babcock was pleased with what he saw “Grundstrom looks like a real hockey player to me. Every day I go out there, every day he has the puck and every day he skates faster than everyone else. Every day he is more physical and every day he shoots the puck in the net. Pretty soon, even a smart guy like me catches on and says, “Hey, this guy might be alright.”
Great news for Marlies and Leafs fans.
